Keep the Sea Afloat
How the sea stays afloat, with no ads and no strings attached.
Seabottles has no ads, doesn't sell your data, and doesn't measure you. One person covers what it costs to keep it afloat. That's it.
In Argentina, anyone who'd like to can leave a voluntary contribution. It doesn't change anything: the sea stays just as free, just as anonymous, and just as calm for everyone. There are no badges and no list of who gave. The sea has no medals.
— Fernando, who has looked after this sea since 2011.
Contributions from outside Argentina aren't open yet. When they are, you'll find the details right here.
So what does it pay for, exactly?
The servers where the bottles live, the database that delivers them, and the domain name. There are no salaries, no offices, and no investors waiting for a return. Seabottles isn't trying to grow at all costs. It's trying to stay afloat.
If you'd like to help, the best way to keep the sea afloat is still the simplest one: write, and reply.
